Reflection 4/22

Today in Mr.Rease’s American Literature class we worked more on the sources. I presented my source today with Moses and Alyssa. After we finished going over the sources we read the prompt. The prompt asked us to choose a position on social networking. First we chose a position then began to write our paragraph. I said that it is acceptable because that is what most of the sources gave me information about. I can’t wait for the last day of school.

Reflection 4/21

Today in Mr.Rease’s American Literature Class we went over sources. Everyone got different sources and was grouped with a partner to present. The topic is about colleges and employers checking social media as the process. I had source G and it was pretty simple. My source was for employers checking social media and it benefits the process. I think that I have gotten better with using my sources and stating evidence over the last year.

Reflection 4/20

Today in Mr.Rease class we did extra credit work. We did extra credit work by going over stuff we need to know for the AP Exam. I was the leader of the activity by reading the questions to the class. The activity was very helpful and learned a lot of new things. My favorite new tip is to not get carried away by reading questions before the passage. You don’t do that because it is a complete waste of time. I had a fun time in class today.

Reflection 4/19/22

Today in Mr.Rease class we worked on another prompt. I wasn’t really here in class today, I was drained from AP statistics. We were really off topic for the whole class so we really didn’t get in depth of what the lesson was. There were really good discussions though. Sorry for this short reflection I just want to get this over with.

Reflection 4/18/22

Today in Mr.Rease American Literature class we watched a video. It was a 60 Minutes video about brain hacking and technology, I found it interesting but I kept falling asleep. We had to answer question that was related to the video. In the middle of answering the questions we had a fire drill. We came back and finished answering the questions. It was pretty simple.

Reflection 4/15/22

Today in Mr.Rease's American Literature class, we worked more on multiple choice. Today we were given a science passage like they will on a real AP test. We actively annotated the passage as a class to gain more of an understanding. Before we were given the questions to answer, we went over the types of multiple choice and what may be asked. The types of questions will help us answer the question correctly and follow through with the process of elimination. Today I have done completely better, its like a game of process of elimination. It was exciting getting all of the answers correct on my own. I love to see the improvement.

Reflection 4/14/22

Today we were asked to write about our skills for the bellringer. Based on the strategies Mr.Rease taught us, they’re really helpful. From what he told us, the multiple choice type answers are all true. I need to work on my comprehension and being more literal. I tend to over think my answers choices. I have to get use to working on underlining and annotating. I also have to work on explaining my vocabulary, it would help to know what more words mean so that I have a better understanding.

Reflection 4/13/22

Today in Mr.Rease's American Literature class we went over multiple choices again. Today we went over answers as a class after answering each one. Monday I said I was going to better the next time but I was doing a pretty crappy job. If I was eliminating all the completely incorrect ones correctly I would lose the 50/50 chance or I just did bad eliminating. I regret buying a AP Exam, I really want a refund, but I just can't do it in college either. I always hated reading and literature.

Reflection 4/12/22

Today in Mr.Rease was not here. We were asked to go to Ms.Fraiser class. In her class she was going over with her students AP Final tips, I tuned in on what she had to say. After we finished the class was playing games together, it was a chill day in the fourth period.

Reflection 4/11/22

Today in Mr.Rease’s American literature class we worked on multiple choice questions. We read and analyzed three different poems. We wrote notes on each poem so we could do a quiz on the. The quiz didn't count, it was just for practice. I thought I did really well but I got a 44. I was told not to over analyze but that's what it felt like I had to do. I even thought it was common sense when I answered the question. We went over the questions and it seemed like you had to be quite literal when answering the questions. I will do better next time.
