Reflection 2/2/22

Today in Mr.Rease's American Literature class we talked about black history month. The bell ringer asked how do we feel about Black History Month and Black Future Month. The class got into a heated debate about the Black Lives Matter movement, and strayed off the main topic. I got my last words in to put us back on the main thing, that Black History Month is to not alienate other nationalities and races, but to give recognition to African Americans.

Reflection 8/29/21

Today in Mr.Rease’s American Literature class we presented our work. The first group was the first half of the chapter. They had an interesting illustration, and some good question. I think I answered all of group 1’s questions. Group 2 had an interesting illustration also. In my group, Kyla was the summarizer and I was the questioner. I think I had pretty good questions, I’m sure everyone was drained by the time my group went up.

Reflection 9/30/21

Today in Mr.Rease’s American Class, we worked on the first step of the project. We made clusters with five subtopics. Each subtopic had 3 extra topics to them. It was better than yesterday because we had an extra mind. Alisha was a lot of help, I think I can speak for Natalya and I that we couldn’t do the brainstorming by ourselves.

Reflection 11/29/21

Today in Mr.Rease’s American Literature class we read a passage. It was a frame passage, I think that’s what is was called. In the passage a man was asked by his young daughter if he killed anyone, to which he respond “of course not”, but he lied. He told the actual story to the reader, how he killed a man for simply walking by, as he was trained to do. It triggered internal conflict to which he regrets killing the man and he wants to tell his daughter the truth. It was pretty good, and we had a series of questions to answer that wasn’t hard.
